Summary: Teresa
Hsu Chih was a Singaporean social worker, known affectionately as ‘Singapore’s
Mother Teresa’, in recognition for her active lifelong devotion in helping the
aged sick and restitutes locally. Mother Teresa founded the Heart to Heart Service
and the Home for the Aged Sick, one of the aged sick in Singapore. Mother
Teresa was still involved in charity work and was one of very few
supercentenarians recognized for their longevity.
Opinion: Elderly are normally known with limited regenerative abilities, prone to diseases and considered weak. Seeing the article on 'Mother Teresa' shows how different it is although she was old, she made herself involved in charity work by helping those who are badly in need. Being the founder of Heart to Heart Service, she lived a simple lifestyle so that the remaining money can go to help those who are in need.
