UN urges action to protect forests' genetic diversity by ZhiGang

Summary:
The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has published a global action plan to improve the management of the world’s forest genetic resources. The global action plans to improve the availability of FGR, conservation of FGR, sustainable use, development and management of FGR, policies and emerging diseases. It also aims to support agriculture, forestry and environmental sustainability as well as food and nutrition security for it is better evaluated and developed. Governments need to act and implement the global plan of action.

Opinion:

In my opinion, I feel that Man ought to do their job in protecting the biodiversity. It is ruined in the hands of Man and therefore Man should be the one to mend it back to how it was before. Man should have thought about the consequences before they do thinks that harm the biodiversity than trying to save what is left of the diversity by Man’s selfishness. Isn’t it too late to save it now than it was before?
