UN urges action to protect forests' genetic diversity by Ki Eunyu

UN urges action to protect forests' genetic diversity

Summary: Due to climate change, the forest genetic resources are being threatened towards extinction. Forest genetic resources are very important to the ecosystem as it provides food, nutrition and security but very few of them are protected. The United Nations came up with a plan to protect and increase sustainability of these foreign genetic resources.

Opinion: I also feel that the forest genetic resources are very important. They can be a form of food and are very useful. They should be protected well. Although many people take them for granted, they should realise the importance of  forest genetic resources and put more effort in conserving and protecting them.
